The Art of Buildin Somethin Real

This isn't advice. It's survival notes - scribbled in the margins of my journey. Business, love, life... I'm still working it out, but I'm saying it all anyway.

Love Yourz: A Valentines to Yourself

On this Valentine’s Day, I’d like to focus not on romantic love, but rather on a deeper, more fundamental love – the kind Jermaine Cole explores in his powerful anthem about self-acceptance, “Love Yourz.”

Alright hear me out, let's get real for a second.

Every time you scroll through your feed, it's like watching a thousand different versions of what you "should" be. That influencer's morning routine, that entrepreneur's success story, that travel blogger's perfect sunset – it's exhausting, isn't it? But here's the thing: while you're busy watching their highlight reel, your own story is waiting to be lived.

Think about it. Remember that kid in high school who everyone called "weird" but moved different? They weren't trying to fit in – they were too busy being themselves. And now? They're out there living their best life while everyone who laughed is still trying to figure out who they are. That's not coincidence; that's the power of owning your truth.

I may not have the answers but I can tell you this; Listen to yourself and STOP asking for permission. Your quirks, your dreams, your way of seeing the world – that's your superpower. Maybe you'd rather spend Friday nights coding instead of clubbing. Maybe your idea of success isn't a corner office but a corner of the world where you can create. Whatever it is, embrace it.

We can all agree that the world's constantly trying to put us in a box, tell you to "tone it down," to "be realistic." But let me ask you something: has anyone ever changed the game by playing it safe? Your Idols – they didn't get there by following someone else's blueprint. They got there by having the courage to draw their own map.

Here's some truth they don't tell you on those "How to.." Books: Being yourself is hard. It's messy. Sometimes it's lonely. But it's also the only way to build something real. Your anxiety, your doubts, your struggles – they're not weaknesses. They're part of your story, and going through your challenges is making you stronger every single day.

So from a life student to another: Stop waiting for likes to validate your choices. Stop dimming your light because it makes others uncomfortable. Your life isn't a draft you can keep editing until it's perfect – it's happening right now, in real time, and you're the only one who can live it.

..What's it going to be? Another day of trying to fit into someone else's idea of perfect, or the day you finally decide to let your own light shine? Remember: ".. No Such Thing as a life that’s better than yourz..” You only got one. Love yourz.

Yourz Sincerely
